Trauma tore, a people wove. Thousands of hands stitching one story of resilience.
A film following the creation of the Global Healing Blanket, a worldwide storytelling movement chronicling Jewish life in the aftermath of October 7 and the rise of antisemitism.
The film travels with the blanket through six cities and communities shaped by terrorism, antisemitism, and collective loss. In each one, participants paint a square that holds their own story. Thousands of squares. One monumental archive.
Through interviews with survivors, families, community leaders, and students, the film asks what carries a people through catastrophe, and how anyone rebuilds after unimaginable loss. The film captures both the making of the artwork and the testimony behind it, preserving this moment for the generations who will inherit it.
The journey comes to completion in Israel, where the Global Healing Blanket is intended to become a permanent installation and living archive, keeping these stories present long after the headlines fade.
Directed by Danny Ben-Moshe an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work explores Jewish identity, history, and contemporary life.
Executive Produced by Howard Rosenman and Rona Ram Lalezary, Founder of the Global Healing Blanket and Mental Health IsReal.
Currently in development and production, with filming underway internationally as the blanket continues its journey.
