Mental Health IsReal - Los Angeles Launch
Mental Health IsReal officially launched in Los Angeles with more than 700 members of the Jewish community gathering at Sephardic Temple for an evening focused on resilience, healing, and navigating the mental health impact of October 7th. Featuring Dennis Prager, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Nova Survivors, and trauma expert Gina Ross, the event introduced MHI’s mission and provided a meaningful conversation and practical approaches to trauma and recovery.
Mental Health IsReal - Mexico City Launch
The Mexico City MHI launch marked an important step in Mental Health IsReal’s international expansion, bringing its message of Jewish resilience, mental health advocacy, and community healing to a new audience. Joined by global Israel Advocates Jonny Daniels, Zach Sage, and Caroline D’Amore, founder Rona Lalezary helped establish the foundation for MHI to grow beyond the United States into a global network of connected communities.
Nova Healing Event - Los Angeles
Held at the Nova Exhibition in Los Angeles, this immersive healing event brought together Nova survivors, individuals directly impacted by October 7th, and the greater community. Through somatic therapy, sound healing, and music, participants were given space to process trauma through both mind and body, alongside community leaders and supporters including Scooter Braun.
Mental Health IsReal - New York Launch
MHI expanded its national presence with the launch of its New York headquarters, bringing together the Jewish community for an important conversation on mental health, resilience, antisemitism, and healing. Featuring Dennis Prager, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Tanya Zuckerbrot, and Lizzy Savetsky, the event also included the moving story of Ori Danino shared through his mother, reinforcing the deeply personal urgency behind MHI’s mission.
The Art of Healing - Global Healing Blanket Los Angeles Launch
The Los Angeles launch of the Global Healing Blanket brought approximately 400 people to the Museum of Tolerance to transform personal stories of trauma and resilience into a collective work of art. Featuring Tomer Peretz, Lee Sasi, Eli Landau, and MHI founder Rona Lalezary, the event welcomed prominent community members, including Sharon Osbourne, and received media coverage from BuzzFeed marking the beginning of a growing global storytelling and healing movement.
Los Angeles Wildfire Healing Event at Zibby’s Bookshop
Mental Health IsReal brought together community members impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires for an intimate evening centered on healing, connection, and emotional support at Zibby’s Bookshop in Santa Monica. Mental health professionals, community leaders, and survivors including Trauma Specialist Therapist Jen Mann, Activist Samantha Ettis, and Founder of MHI Rona Lalezary addressed the emotional aftermath of a collective crisis and reminded those affected that they did not have to navigate recovery alone. The event created a safe and supportive space for individuals and families navigating the trauma, displacement, loss, and uncertainty caused by the fires.
